The Wrong Playbook

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Bree Hayden returns to the steamy world of Mars University with her latest installment in the For the Arena series, The Wrong Playbook. This college hockey romance captivated me with its blend of tension, friendship, and the complexities of being best friends with the ex!.

If you’ve enjoyed the works of Hannah Grace or Elle Kennedy, I think you’ll find this book right up your alley. Each book in the series can be read as a standalone, but I found that starting from Book 1 enriched my experience by introducing me to recurring characters and their intertwined lives. It’s part of the charm that kept me turning the pages.

The Wrong Playbook centres around the dynamic relationship between Tallulah and Nick. I was drawn into Tallulah’s journey, which takes a turn after she breaks up with Nick’s best friend and seizes an internship opportunity in Canada. This twist of fate (and a bit of planning hint hint) finds Tallulah and Nick navigating their own complicated feelings while sharing this new adventure together. Their story delicately lies between friends to lovers and sort of I-thought-you-were-my-enemy to lovers, creating lots and lots a great content (iykyk)

I absolutely loved this book—it’s possibly my favorite yet of Bree’s(and I know I say this for every single one). It’s the perfect combination of steamy and sweet.

So – Join Tallulah and Nick as they discover that sometimes the wrong playbook might lead to the right match. Don’t miss out on this latest addition to Bree Hayden’s beloved series—it’s time to dive into the heartwarming and exhilarating world of college hockey romance!
